Review of PreZerve Cambridge Jewelry Box Cherry

I have to admit.When I found this box here on amazon, I was downright excited.I already own one of these boxes, and it's well made, effective in its anti-tarnish qualities, etc.Even though this seller was new with no ratings at the time, I didn't hesitate to order.The box arrived quickly and was well-protected against damage during transit.

However, the moment I took off the plastic wrap I knew something was wrong.The wood of the lid felt like plastic.The corners of the compartments were sharp, and the felt lining was so thin you could see the wood beneath.The wood for one of the compartments wasn't even secured in the box- it felt like cheap plywood- it wiggled and all it took was a small pull to remove it from the drawer. Furthermore, there was mold in the box, and damage to the wood of one of the drawers. When I opened the lid, I did find the PreZerve card, as well as the Flexzorb sticker on the bottom of the box that are supposed to proclaim this an "authentic" PreZerve box; I don't know where they got the cards or the stickers from, but they sold me a piece of garbage with the PreZerve label.

When I contacted them about the quality, authenticity and problems with the box, this is what cinched the deal: The woman answered by saying that my money had already been refunded, and for me to DISCARD THE BOX.As in, discard the evidence of what we did.

I did not take the refund as "hush money" or as a request to keep quiet about what had happened.I can not speak as to the authenticity or quality of any of the other eight products this seller currently sells, but STAY AWAY from this box.I wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else.
