My three year old suggested that "Mommy" get a music box or a jewlery box.Now, that I am a fan of Amazon I often look here before any other store, and with a few little clicks I found this little box.Now, it isn't a music box, but it was a perfect gift from son to Mom so I went with it.Actually was of heavy duty craftsmanship, and seems to be very durable.Silver plated I'm sure nothing to expensive, but certainly presents as such.My main complaint was that it actually had a little sticker "made in china"!We all know that items "made in China" often leave a negative impression?I would have preferred to spend more and gotten something made from Italy, Germany, Turkey or possibly the U.S., but this one was from China.I quickly removed the stickers not to insult the wife.Knowing that this little box was from China I almost feel as if I probably paid to much for it.The seller didn't specify where the item was from, and I never thought to really inquire.Nice red velvet inside, over all a nice little ring box.This would have gotten a "5" stars, but just knowing it was from "China" I can't, therefore, just 4 stars!

Review of SMART JEWELRY CASE - SILVER FINISH

I bought this for my niece who loves to accessorize and travel. I chose the hard top case over a cloth case because I thought this just made more sense.

The jewelry case has two sides to it, one side has little compartments for rings or earrings, the second side has guides for putting necklaces, and another little compartment for say necklaces that have separate pendants. The tops of the insides of each side are a soft velvety material, the bottoms are a hard plastic. You can see with the velvety stuff on top that when the case seals your possessions are tightly in place.

The case has a nifty little locking latch, flipped to one side it is locked, flip to the other it is open. In order to open the case you would put the side you don't want opened against another surface so it doesn't open as well. I thought this would be a beastly feature but it isn't because each compartment opens very slowly and some force must be applied, so the bottom isn't likely to just spill open.

Time will tell how the plastic outercase holds up. I'm concerned that it may crack. I will update this review after it has been used a few times.

Review of Red Star AIMEE Genuine Leather Jewelry Box Brown

I bought this jewelry box for my wife for mothers day.She doesn't have a lot of jewelry, but enough in that she could use something more organized then a bunch of little boxes!

I wasn't sure what to expect with an all leather jewelry box.I really wanted to get her a wooden box with the fancy inlays, but I couldn't justify the cost of one.When I came across this, the size, color and the quality (from what I could tell) seemed perfect.

As shown in the picture, there are several storage compartments.The box on the lower left can be used as a portable box, which I thought was very nice.The front face of the box is actually held in place by invisible magnets.Surprisingly, they work quite well to keep it in place.

As in other jewelry boxes, the security key seems to be more show than anything else.It does add a nice touch and looks nice with a cloth tassel.

Depending on how you use the mirror on the top lid, it may be nearly useless.You can use it to see how jewelry looks on your wrist or fingers, but looking directly at it is somewhat difficult because of the angle of the top lid.

I happened to buy this at a really good offer through a market place seller.I would advise you to seek that deal before out right buying at the price listed.

All in all, I would recommend this to anyone who has a small collection of jewelry.It's constructed very well and seems to use high quality leather and other components.
