I just got the item in today after waiting almost 2weeks after I purchased it.For the price you pay its not exactly as nice as you expect.For a small jewlery box its poorly finished, on the inside you can see glue all over where they put it together and on the outside there are bubbles from what I can only assume is the nails holding the wood together.The latch on the front doest fit snug at all nor does it line up quite right.Im quite dissapointed I do not suggest this to anyone looking for a small Asian inspired jewlery box or anything of the sort.

I bought this jewelry box for my six-year-old.She loves horses.My overall impression is a good one.The size is adequate for a little girl.SHe loves the pull out tray for hiding her secret goodies.The music is nice.The down point is that the small horse on the inside gets dislodged sometimes when the music box gets closed.It is easy enough to put back on, but I am worried it will get lost in the future.

Review of First Alert 2013F .17 Cubic Foot Fire and Water Chest

I wouldn't even give this item ONE star. After putting my important documents in the safe, (birth certificate, passport, pictures of deceased relatives WHICH CANNOT BE REPLACED), I opened it a couple of months later to find ALL of my documents WET AND COVERED IN BROWN MOLD. My closet is completely dry, so I was dumbfounded and called the manufacturer. They told me that this is a KNOWN PROBLEM, and offered to mail me some dessicant packets to keep the moisture out. They said that condensation WILL DEVELOP in the item and recommended that I open it up once a month, "to make sure that it is working properly". To say that I am irate is a major understatement--I have lost valuable items to me that cannot be replaced. I have filed a complaint with Underwriter's Laboratory and am filing a complaint with the BBB. I would NOT RECOMMEND this product to anyone..even if the product could survive a fire, and who knows if it can, your items would be ruined from condensation and mold. This poduct sucks and I will tell everyone that I can how bad it is.

This item is not made in the USA, as the item's description states.I bought this item instead of others specifically because the seller claims that it is USA made.It is actually a Chinese made Reed & Barton jewelry chest, MSRP probably $180.

Other than that error on the seller's part, this is a nice jewelry chest: good (though not flawless) finish, nice interior, decent craftmanship.

Review of Best Simple Beautiful Practrical Gift Ideas for Her 2010 - 11" Violetta Fine Lacquered Oriental Jewelry Box - 3 Designs

This box is pretty, but that's all it has going for it. There is no picture of the inside, which consists of 1 pull out tray, about 5" X 5", with a small side slotted for rings, may hold eight medium size rings. Underneath that is a simple 3 sectioned bottom. Best of all, no way to latch it, even my 30+ year old jewelry box had a latch, so be aware that the clip in front is just a swinging decoration, not functional at all.
Pretty, but overpriced and usless if you want to keep things in it, forget about any sort of security, pick it up wrong and you will be picking up your jewelry. Today I discovered that although you get a real person when you call Oriental Furniture (shocking, I know), you get to pick up the tab for shipping the item back, and they insist on insurance AND a tracking number, seems like all you get to do is pay for a big bunch of nothing. Merry Xmas to me!

I thought this might really tarnish, but in six months it has not! I have a southwest kitchen and bathroom. This fits nicely to keep rings etc in whenever I'm cleaning or cooking. I found this small but HUGE jewelry chest on Amazon, and I am very pleased with how nicely it holds all of my stuff.The product description says that it holds "over 800" pieces, and it definitely does this and everything inside the drawers is easily visible!I bought this jewelry chest mainly because of the size and that it should hold a lot of jewelry.I was also hunting for a jewel chest that would fit into my safe and one I could find my stuff in easily.This definitely is the greatest thing in the jewelry department, but right after DIAMONDS of course!

The only thing that I would have liked is the drawer inserts to be pre-set up to hold jewelry sets.I have lots of matching jewelry sets, necklace; earings; rings, and bracelets which I want to keep together without using up too much space in my new chest.With the help of the manufacturer I will be able to do just that, because they are sending me a couple extra drawer inserts and I am going to mix and match them within the drawers so my chest is just that, My Chest!

This chest is just the greatest invention, and I sure am glad that I found one.The design too is well worth the money that it costs, heck I am SURE I have spent much more money throughout the years on all the jewelry boxes that I have bought and then "grown out of."

Review of Bead Boutique Bead Box and Silver-Lined Seed Beads

I bought this set of beads at the craft store for $10, which is a better deal when you count shipping costs.However, for people with no access to a craft store, this is a good option.

I was happy with my purchase.I was worried that these beads would secretly be plastic or would be cloudy, but they look exactly the same as other seed beads I have bought in bags in the past.These beads have a rounded look, which is different (I think) than the Toho treasure beads I have bought in the past with straighter sides and greater shine.These beads are not as high quality as the Toho treasure beads, but they are much more reasonable in price and still have a lovely shine and a lovely feel to them.

I think this set is great for anyone needing a starter set of seed beads, as it provides nearly every color you would need.You don't get a large quantity of each, but you have enough for small projects.

Please note:

The box of beads is not quite as full as it appears.There is a strip of plastic inside the middle of the large box taking up some room inside the box.At first I thought each small box inside the big box was about the size of a tic-tac box, but they are shorter - maybe half the size of a tic-tac box.The gram weight is accurate, but it is hard to estimate how much of each bead you will be getting by the picture.*Pulls out measuring stick*...in fact, one of the small plastic cases of beads measures approx. 1" x 1" by 1cm, and the cases work like a tic-tac box.

I have already used up one of the cases full of beads, and now I am using the empty case to store other, larger beads.The plastic cases are highly reusable and a great bead storage solution on their own.

I might end up buying another set.
